Worth the Play

Other reviews echo my experience with the title: Imperfect yet very engaging and easy to recommend - presuming you go in with proper expectations. I honesty thought I’d log a few hours and move on but it pulled me in. Non-spoiler tips I wish I would have heard going in: The whip mechanics are actually good once you get that after doing a right-click to attach it that left click lengthens the whip, right click shortens it, your WASD movements work to swing, and space to release. The crosshairs turning red are huge. Don’t ignore during the hand fighting mechanic! Hope that helps!

Old but not unplayable

While this game shows it's age, it plays just fine. The main problem with this game is Billy. These devs decided to make a game that should be about shooting people a platformer and slight puzzle solver with Billy sections. At least Ray is exactly what you expect from the game. Not that long of a game, so if cheap and the first few chapters go fine for you might as well finish it. I also highly recommend a guide as some things aren't as obvious as they should be.

Fun but also infuriating

This game is pretty fun, but the gun draw glitch during pistol duels makes it so frustrating that I'm strongly considering uninstalling it. I have invested a lot of time getting over all the other frustrating game mechanics (clunky player movement, enemies who seem to be using aimbot) but this glitch makes it almost unplayable.

Game breaking bugs

When you get to the standoff with the saloon owner, nothing works. It says to use "LMB" and look down at your gun to unholster and aim it, but nothing works and I cant look at my gun. I tried everything, even limiting FPS to 30. It was fun up until then but I cannot progress. Even then, I struggled with falling through the map in a few cutscenes, and skipping them was the only way to progress. The Billy sections with the whip/sneaking are just awful. I apprecaite GoG for putting this up and their preserving games, and since this was free I can't really complain much. Just be aware its full of frustating mechanics and bugs and not really playable on modern systems.
