Caesar 3

Ok, this is a heavyweight among the city-building games. This game is not a casual game like the Sim City series This game is for the purists, the perfectionists. It will reward you for good urban planning, but it will punish your mistakes very hard. You can play for hours and hours on a city, just to realize this wasn't a good strategy on that map, and you have to start the map over again. Sometimes frustrating, but when you accomplish a mission, it was because of YOUR hard work, and you feel so proud ! Possibly the best of the series (Caesar/Pharaoh/Zeus) by a tiny bit.

The game works fine, however the music loops every 5 seconds Also the quotes your citizens make will loop even when you click away from them. Really ruins the experience. Please fix.

I'm thrilled that Gog has made this game available for x64 systems. I played Caesar III years ago and still have the original disc and manual. My main problem with the game was fire. It seemed that whenever I built the ideal city fire would break out and burn down my houses. Keeping the gods happy wasn't much of a problem as I built plenty of temples. The manual is filled with helpful tips and strategies and is indispensable for anyone serious about constructing a successful city. Being able to focus on building without worrying about warfare is one of the biggest plusses. This is a game that deserves a major comeback. Aside from being fun, it teaches about history.

I love this game, I spent lot of time on it when I was young. I was exited to find it on gog. It works fine on Linux, but I am disapointed, french language is not available... Waiting so long and this not coming. The voices are very great in french and I miss it. Please, add french for this game can be perfect again.

i have always loved city builders and Caesar 3 is one of the best.
