A good game except the boss "battle"
Game's OK, more on the easy side. The writing is pretty good, the steering gets the job done. Even the stealth sections are not as bad as they sound (usually it's better to run while the enemies are far enough). But the boss confrontation just sucks, be warned.

Annoying playstation game
Replaying after 20 years... I was not ready for the first half of the game to be this sparse and outright annoying. Then it picks up the pace a little, it has the Broken Sword vibe but can't shake off the annoyances of 3D. Nico's segments are almost unbearable. Cameras are outright terrible, disorientating and whole 3D world is just an attempt to slow you down. Not having an option to skip dialogue is another attempt to slow you down and even discourage from exploring. Tried to play it with handheld keyboard but had to switch to real keyboard for several action scenes. It's not bad but definitely not for point and click adventure fans. Occasionally crashes on Windows 10, XP compatibility mode enabled and 4:3 resolution set.

I had fun
There is no arguing that 1,2&5 are better, I still had a great time with this on the ps2 a long time ago and having a great time with it again, theres just no denying the charm of the Broken Sword universe.

A story of missed opportunities
Three stars is a bit harsh but the reputation of the series calls for some amount of harshness. All in all, BS III is the least one out of the three. Unlike what I expected, it wasn't the graphics or the controls or anything like that. The story starts out really good, with a nice murder investigation, and some great locations. Midway the game falls completely flat on its face, with a ridiculous repetition of create-moving puzzles and way-too-simple adventuring. The game also isn't "snappy" enough to push those slow-moving and tedious parts of it into the background of the experience. Although it has to be said that backtracking is never really demanded of the player so solving the puzzles isn't too frustrating. In fact, the puzzles are often too easy. It's a nice adventure game, but somehow you can feel that things were either too ambitious and never fully developed, or not ambitious enough, during the development.

Great game (with one hell of a climax)
I found this game to be great. Better than the BS2. It had it's flaws like crate puzzles and awkward controls, but otherwise story was great, jokes were good, music was good and graphics were nice. It is worth playing, just for the climax. I highly recommend this game, altough it isn't point and click game like first two Broken Sword game.
