Rayne is back.
5-stars again for Rayne, although oddly this time she is not as strong as in the first game! The story is about hunting the other “offspring”, her half-siblings, and bloodline of Rayne’s “father” (the person who had wiped out her mother’s family and turned her into a half-vampire) and about vampires having the technology to go out in public and in broad daylight. Pure action gameplay with some platforming involved. No manual saving, just checkpoints. Also, contrary to the first game, the second one takes place in more varied environments and there are many different types of enemies. I consider the game more difficult than the first, as: 1) unfortunately, contrary to the first game, in the second game Rayne suffers damage more quickly and severely when in water or under the sun, and 2) it is often needed to use the environment for some actions (e.g. throw enemies at a spot to destroy it, rather than using raw force against that spot), which require more precision in movements and overall controlling.
