Awsome story so far
I've never played point and click adventure games before but I do really like the Blade Runner series. I decieded to try this out and I'm surprised how much fun I'm having with the story. The art in the game is spectacular (which is not a surprise since the artist from the movie returned for this game as well). Can't wait to find more clues!

An excercise in pixel hunting
The mechanics of randomized assignment of the replicant identities and corresponding story branching is a unique feature of this game. But if you don't know about it, you won't understand that from the game. I did not watch the original movie, neither I played this game before. Because of this attempt to introduce many variations to the story, when you play, the story of the game just doesn't make sense. It is disjointed and definitely relies on previous knowledge of the original movie. The gameplay is clunky and dated. You have to pixel hunt for tiny specks that are barely visible on the screen, get killed by cops that aren't even visible on the screen, walk around the areas in circles looking for any new dialogues or events. I also got stuck due to a bug and had to restart from the beginning. The style of the game is beautiful, but the wish to show off the city and limitations of technology of that time made the gameplay suffer. You often walk through huge rooms devoid of any interactivity because they may become active in some other story branches. The view is often zoomed out, so you look at tiny characters running in the distance while moving your mouse around in search of active spots. The smoothing filter that the Enhanced edition applies on top makes the game look blurry, all the fine textures and details are lost. If you play, switch it off!
