I played this game long ago when it released on the GameCube. I often keep an open mind, so the idea of anthropomorphic animals, or a mix of sci-fi and fantasy, didn't bother me much when playing this game. I am the type of player who is in constant search of the next big challenge, so, back then, during the hours I spent playing this game, I didn't immediately enjoy my play experience because it didn't provide the intense challenge I was seeking at the time...silly me. It wasn't until a week or two after I had completed the game, that it's addiction began to sink in. Shortly there after, I felt a strong desire to replay the game...and I did...multiple times. The game has this, feel, about it, an atmosphere, that makes the world seem believable, like an expansive world that could occur in the real world under the right circumstances...a little complicated to explain. Let's just say, it's a feeling of immersion without it being a VR game, and it leaves you wanting more, wanting to return to it, like the addiction that it is. The music is fantastic. Every battle has it's own tune. Its music really sets the mood when traveling in open areas, or traversing a warehouse or a cave. I've recently replayed this game on PC, and it passes the test of time. The game is still amazing. Graphically the games style still works for a modern audience. Much like what this games story pulls you into to expose, it can make you aware of the politics on how evidence can be treated as conspiracy theories by government controlled media. In the game, if you know exactly what to do and where to go, you can complete the game in about 5-7 hours, with all pearls and photos taken. If you seek to immerse yourself into another world without VR, try this game. It's an affordable and worthwhile experience. A small cost will provide you with a timeless experience.
