A visual novel with very good writing

So first of all i finished both seasons and it is my first adult visual novel game.I dont mind kinky games and after some recommandations and reviews which said that the writing is pretty good(Yes i care more about that:)) i tought why not.So the positives and negatives + Immersive storyline where you are a college student with a lot of choices The game catched me emotionally in a couple of situations Very good music The game chapters a lot of serious stuff from real life pretty well You really feel like a part of the storyline You can skip most of the nasty stuff for example starring at different body parts like a creep and you can also be a true gentleman instead of the college w* gg It sounds strange but you can really play this game for just the story Funny mini games and beautiful artstyle Negatives -Girls acting is a bit lets say overdone and way to unrealistic sometimes (you can tell a dude made this game gg) but he is capable for good stuff as well so dont get me wrong here -Sometimes i didnt had a choice or couldnt respond in insitutations where it would have make sense which was a bit sad Overall it was a real enjoayable experience for me and i hope he focuses more on the adult stuf(not the porn) because thats where the game shined for me.Overall the game is a solid 4 and a half star for me.Translations would be nice as well and im looking forward how the story continues Gog please add achievements

Fantastic Continuation

Season 1 of Being a Dik was perhaps the best visual novel I have played so Season 2 had big shoes to fill. It did a very good job of it. The overall story arc was satisfying. Some characters got more screen time and some less but it worked well. I really felt like my choices had some impact. For starters not being able to date everybody. Some games allow you to play the field which, while fun, feels like a cop out. By the end of Season 2 I really only had two choices for routes and it made sense and even then forced me to pick one. Other times I found the game referencing things I had done earlier, things I had not given much thought to at the time and having it shut me out of certain paths. Once again I liked this because it made sense to me. That being said sometimes there were a few choices where whether it was received positively depended on whether you were a Dik or Chick and when it’s something as little as a compliment towards someone I am already friendly with it seems like a weird distinction to make. The art and animations were once again top notch . Even the few models I could say I wasn’t a fan of were far better than many others in the genre. The animations were done very well and there was good variety in them. I will say though that even if you take out the lewd scenes, which I loved, you would still be left with a great game and that says a lot. I did find that there were a lot more free roam portions in Season 2 than 1 and some will like that but I don’t love them. I don’t hate them, I just find that sometimes they get like fetch quests. That being said the developers do their best to make them enjoyable. There are fast travel so you don’t have to navigate the whole building; you can play a multitude of built in games on your phone if you want, etc. The new mini games added were enjoyable. They weren’t night and day different from the first season but were still fun and served their purpose to add variety. The music was once again fantastic.

The gold standard.

I looked into this on a whim, it isn't something I'd usually be interested in, but I was bored and it seemed interesting. Like other people have said, yes, obviously, it is an "adult" game; but the writing is exceptional. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was, and it made me want to check out other games in the genre. Well, sadly, most of them (that I've checked out) have ranged between disappointment and hot garbage. So it really does feel like this is THE gold standard, it spoiled the genre for me (in a good way) and I'm unironically looking forward to the next season. Actual branching pathways, not illusion of choice. Interesting side activities. The minigames do get a bit stale, but I'd recommend leaving them on. Legitimate replay value due to the branching paths I mentioned before. If you're unfamiliar with this genre, but wanna give it a go, I'm not sure there's a better first experience. If you ARE experienced with the genre, and for whatever reason haven't checked this one out, do it; you won't be disappointed.

A 5 to combat the petty people.

I am not particularly interested in this game, but what I am interested in is, people having the option to play any game they want to. I don't care if people don't like the subject matter. I do not support liberals and their crusade to cancel everything. I will not support the other side, "holier than thou" attitude. If you don't like the content, don't look at it. Stop trying to shame people that do like this type of game.

This is not just any 18+ game, Dr Pinkcake has done an amazing job with the plot and everything love it!! can't wait for season 3.
