You can brake it on multiple levels. It'll still be a great game. And some changes I enjoyed.

DISAPPOINTING!
LOL, I was wondering why everything was so microscopic, then, I realized, DUH, this was the result ofincreased resolution. Party formation was fun; new portraits that, IMHO, were improvements over the ugly originals, and, contrary to what others have said, I thought the voice actors were fine - at least, as far as I played. But, this doesn't really feel like "true" Baldur's Gate, and, no, definitely not the way to introduce newbies to this franchise. Also, I really have nothing against "representation" and, honestly, I thought that, much as I hate to admit it, the "feminist" re-molding of Jahiera actually turned out pretty good. However, much as I hate to seem to dump on peoples' efforts, I'm starting to think that there is a corresponding drop in talent applied as the eye for agenda mongering increases. At any rate, especially for the price I see this going for at the time of this review, I think one would be much better off playing Pillars of Eternity. Fortunately, I got this on sale and didn't pay much for it. Guess I should have paid attention to why there were so many bad reviews for this. It's true, you can't go home again.

Cloakwood and Brag
I expected this game to be bug free, but I had to scour the internet just to find out how to fix the Cloakwood and Brag bugs. Not worth your time. The game breaks on you. 25 hrs. played and I am salty about this experience.

Baldurs Gate EE Patch 2.0
I bought the game by beamdog long time ago, and i never played it because the first EE was buggy and not so good. But this year 2016 had beamdog the new patch 2.0 released. What can i say?! I love the new EE Version from BG. A few things: 1. It works on all systems, linux, windows 7,8,10 and mac. 2. many improvements and new features like the new character information window. 3. better journal 3. No more modding, 4. new characters, 5. german and english language looks good. 6. new sprites, i like them 7. and more What is not so good? 1. a few bugs in german language 2. the black bars surrounding the map with or without zoom, it looks bad! Come on beamdog, why??? 3. much waiting time for new patches! 4. to much black At the end, baldurs gate 1 and 2 are still the mother of all and you must play it to understand! Buy the EE Versions and play this great games!

Outdated complaints. Fantastic game.
The bugs are fixed now. The game runs like a charm, and the many UI improvements really make the whole experience smoother than ever. If you want a hassle-free way of (re)experiencing this masterpiece without having to tinker with mods, the enhanced edition delivers on all its promises. Well worth the asking price.
