Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition

I just have to give 5 stars for BG Complete included in Enhanced Version. Thank You.

While I think BG1 is a good CRPG, I also think it's overrated by people blinded with nostalgia. The main plot in itself is pretty good, with a narratively rich underlying theme, but overall the conversations are comparatively short and drift very often into the absurd and silly humour. I have to admit, it made me laugh constantly, so that's a plus, but ultimately, I think it detracts from the potential it had as a CRPG. On a good side are the 2D environments which are really beautiful and gorgeous; an absolute joy to explore!

I loved this game as a child and I love it again. I don't get why people are so judgmental about the Beam Dog additions, I like them. I absolutely love Neera. XD She is hilarious and I loved the wild mage mechanic from back in the day. I am only annoyed I have to work out the library conflicts in my Linux installation.

If you are looking for an old school RPG with beautiful isometric graphics and classic gameplay mechanics that defined the future of gaming then this is the game you should get! Worth every penny so far and it works flawlessly on Windows 10.

I tried Black Pits to check out the new content and the new UI. Oh man, there was a lot of surprises waiting for me... Party AI doesn't work, clicking and unclicking doesn't fix it. Scripts don't seem to fix it either. After teleporting from the pits zooming also stopped working. Rest animation... it... slows down and glitches...? Oh wow. It feels like playing BG1 for the first time again! On 5 scratched CDs! ... Play the original instead.
