NIce but not perfect
Very Nice game. But, back in the days, I had access to a very good french version. In the case that the original version is not available anymore, I think it's a lack of respect to not let francophones having access to the version of their childhood. Very bad.

Excellent
Excellente version. Les réglages par défaut du scaling et du niveau de zoom ne rendent pas hommage à la résolution atteignable, mais en trois clics c'est corrigé. Le jeu est correctement patché et mis à jour, même si on arrive à la même chose avec des mods sur le jeu d'origine. ça tourne impeccablement sur OSX, et ça justifie amplement l'achat rien que pour ce point. Le seul gros défaut de dette version, c'est qu'il n'existe pas de traduction français pour le jeu, actuellement. Selon votre niveau d'anglais, ça peut être totalement rédhibitoire ou pas du tout, mais c'est à prendre en considération. Le jeu en lui même est toujours excellent. Sans doute le plus grand RPG à l'ancienne, avec Planescape Torment et Arcanum...

you should search elsewhere...
great game but... since dragon spear there is some features added to baldur's gate 2. its a very strange looking graphics now... its you to judge wether its cool or not. do you remenber when you where controlling your party like a master mind, succeding because of your mind and failing because you have forgoten something. now the game control 83% of your party: the game now is using by himself spell of your companions... meaning that one of the feature you where controling the most is now used and spoilt by the IA and even when u try to remove it (maybe its a bug, meaning that BG 2 EE is now with bad features and buggy...) it come back!! there is a few other stuff that i let you watch from other people who write it... good luck in your journey whoever you are , because its a fine day for whatever you are after!

One of the best RPGs
Play it. And the first one. And the Planescape Torment. That's it. That's the whole advice and review. One of best RPGs ever. And Beamdog fixed lot of their bugs. What else to say?

Pinnacle of fantasy rpg games
Never since achieved or even approached. The AD&D 2nd Edition era in fantasy rpg (before the WotC influence) is just unique. The classic version has all the nostalgia and the original vibes (and technical issues...). This version is especially good if you haven't played the original and are new to the genre.
