Reliving my Childhood
I absolutely adored this game when I was a kid. It was probably the first PC game I ever owned, and it became the sole reason why I created a GoG account. It runs well on modern hardware. Probably better than it ever did on my parents' old Gateway computer with Windows 95. The game is still difficult though. I remember having to use cheats to get to the end. Well, some things never change. Maybe I'm just bad at games. Anyway, gameplay wise, I don't really know how to describe it. A top-down shooter? This is the only game of its kind I've ever played and really enjoyed. Tan enemies can sometimes be hard to see in certain environments. AI companions are bullet shields. So, almost completely useless. Story is honestly good. Super charming.

OH MY GOD
I never knew this came to the store(wish they'd announce titles when they come out) but thanks to browsing reddit for ideas for an Army Men RPG and looking for figures, I found these. Sure enough I saw everything about my past here! Army Men! Army Men II! Army Men Toys in Space! but what I cannot find now is Army Men World War? or Air Tactics? hopefully GOG will bring those back too, but it's amazing these games are saved! I had such fond memories playig Army Men II on the MSN Gaming zone.

A tactical action game starring the famous toys. Using surprisingly complex controls (dive, prone, roll, etc), you'll guide Sarge through many missions. The shooting action is only OK, but the more complex tactics are better: recon, airstrikes, paradrops, mine ambushes, driving vehicles and mortaring new routes through destructible terrain. It's funny too, with propaganda ("Reptilian Tan menace!") and melting enemies. A very good game, until it was sadly wrecked by annoyingly unfair escort missions. Failing missions because your AI allies drive directly into enemy tanks is just not fun.
