Description
Welcome to Anachronox, an abandoned alien artificial planet at the centre of the universe, now home to lowlifes, thieves, and scoundrels. Here we join Sylvester "Sly Boots" Bucelli--a down on his luck PI--and a cast of 6 other unlikely heroes on their quest to discover who or what is trying to destroy the universe. They are the only ones that believe it is happening, and the only ones that can do something about it.
This title is a very unique game in many ways. The combination of jRPG style turn-based combat, extraordinary characters with their own personalities, an epic and brilliantly told story, colorful graphics, and absolutely hilarious humor is something very rare. You will travel through galaxies, explore bizarre planets, and journey through space and time. There are no easy choices in this game, no obvious, predictable events, no black and white characters. Disappointing
Played it for the first time, already having seen the cutscene-movie some years ago, and I was really disappointed. The boring dungeons and slow combat, the backtracking, the bland design, the unmemorable music, there really was not much fun or engagement to be had. After about 8 hours I gave up. The story: It seems I did not even get that far into it because I remember it being kind of good from the movie but nothing really interesting happened until I quit. The humor was ok I guess. It feels like a failed Final-Fantasy VII wannabe. Worst game of Ion Storm, even worse than Deus Ex 2. Better watch the movie instead. Also if you are playing on Windows 10, start it via "GCT Setup" or it will bug out a lot.

O M G what a load of kaka
After 30 years of playing rpg's this is the only one i hate not dislike but HATE. I dont get it! after reading the reviews i thought ok many 5/5 reviews must be worth the $2-3 but no. After 6-7 hours of pushing myself to carry on playing hoping for something good about it, i guess i missed it somehow. Sorry to the the fanboys but it was pure torture.
