You have to very careful

You have to very careful when thinking about purchasing this game. It has its age. It is very into 90's. The only reason I've bought American Hero was that I have been waiting for it on Atari Jaguar for more than 20 years. However if you never heard about Atari Jaguar, never had Atari Jaguar CD and this is the first time you see American Hero, you should probably stay away from this game unless... you are fan of FMV based games from middle of 90's. Overall the plot is thick, dialogs are often dump, you die due to single wrong decision (like turning right instead of left). There were so many great games with wonderful plot in the 90's. American Hero is not one of them. The only reason I gave it 3 starts is to encourage other developers to preserve some old games. Technically the devs did their job to make this game playable but let me repeat my self: if you are not Atari Jaguar fan you should probably stay away from American Hero. It can be disappointing for you.

Worth half off for an hour of bad movie

Honestly I would buy this at half price ONLY if you had a bad movie night group of friends. You would then get one hour's of cheesy entertainment out of it. Anything else, nope. It's obvious that it's stitched together from an unfinished product. The choices are non-sensical. The dying and restarting gets VERY annoying at the end. You are thrown into a looping maze with zero clues or logical direction. You just try "left" or "right" randomly until you stop dying. You can stumble across a random person who breaks the 4th wall to flat out tell you the directions, except they're wrong so there's still no solution! Finally, at the end, every time you die, you're forced to sit through an entire 3-5 minute long sequence to get back to the choice. The upside is the plot is crazy. You have Nazi Clint Howard as a villain. There's a good fake dummy death.

A Real American Hero

Absolutely love this game, very entertaining, just having one slight issue towards the end of the game regarding choices missing, hopefully this isn't a bug, but appart from that, this has all my cheesy fmv needs catered for, 10/10

Good Remaster, but not a Good Game

Its a typical 90s FMV Game, bad script, the acting varies between aweful and "well he tried his best" low Budget Effects and not much choices and super short. If you know what to do its finished in 30 Minutes. Unfortunatly there is no logic in the Game and your decisions. You can't know if "Right" is the correct answer, or "Left" you typical have to play it over and over to find that out, that was even bad design in the 90s. The Remaster is quite nice, the Videoquality is suprisly good, the few missing Scenes are handled good with some effects. But is the game worth the $15? If you love terrible Movies maybe, for all others, no. Even if it would have been released in 1995, it would be a terrible game.
