Description
In Alf’s Escape you will once again play as Abe on a daring mission to rescue Alf, the fez-donning, tea-drinking Mudokon we first met in Abe’s Exoddus. It takes place in a completely new, never-before-seen area of RuptureFarms, features all new challenges and puzzles, and sees Abe lead Alf to freedom through a series of grueling death traps.

Whether it’s sprinting through a slaughterhouse, being chased by tomorrow’s tasty snacks and menacing meat saws, or lobbing well-aimed grenades across vast chasms overlooking the Stockyards, there’s a long list of reasons no Mudokons work in these parts of RuptureFarms (Except for Alf, but his line of work is a little different!).

And of course, it wouldn’t be Oddworld without a generous helping of humor and charming characters, so we recorded brand new dialogue for Alf with Oddworld creator and original voice actor Lorne Lanning!

This DLC broke the game in several ways... It noticably made the game run incredibly worse than usual! Normally, I could run the settings on max at the highest resolution - but this DLC area? I had to set everything abysmally low to get it to stop jitterbugging. Gameplay-wise, there were several enemies who were getting stuck in corners and edges rather than adapting to new landscapes. I honestly quit playing when I got gunned down - even though I was mid-air on a pulley out of sight. It's not worth tolerating. Maybe your experience will be better - but I am so disappointed.

Alf was the final escapee all this time!

What can I say? Alf's mission is to make tea and escape the farm. And he's all out of tea. Seeing Abe's Oddysee tightened up and refined in the base game is one thing, but seeing an extension in the form of an additional FIFTH Zulag is by far one of the most clever DLCs I've ever played. We see areas inspired by prototype screenshots and mock ups in the Oddysee manual, we see areas teased EVEN FURTHER in the background that we can go to, we even find homages to commercials of the original game! And then... AND THEN the game asks you to guide the 300th Mudokon back through it all, complete with a rehab and tea filled with SO MANY OTHER REFERENCES! This little 20-40 minute adventure is just a taste of what Oddworld were considering moving forward. ... and coming back to review this now having played SoulStorm, I can directly see where this was the first piece in a bigger puzzle. I absolutely love this DLC, it feels equal parts new and yet Mandela effect levels of familiar. Play it, save Alf, explore Zulag 5. It's an absolute steal.

Chapitre intéressant, plus long que ceux du jeu original, où vous devrez aller chercher Alf, puis l'escorter vers la sortie !
