AI War: Fleet Command

I have to second the opinions about horrid UI and graphics. I'm really not the type who considers game without shiny 3D graphics to be unplayable, but 2D graphics can also look nice and above all - it should be readable. In this game, it isn't so. The images representing units are pixelated mess and it's very hard to distinguish them. The UI is very badly designed - uses too much text and too litle graphical information, and what information there is is often obfuscated. It doesn't seem to be designed by any real UX expert. It's great to play against one of - if not THE most advanced algorithms in strategy games, but I wish the presentation wouldn't be another thing that hinders the player.

Having 35 years of experience playing strategy, you will not be able to go through the first step of the tutorial - to send the scout ship to the teleport that stands next to it, you need to press the key combination. You should read the tutorial right away. What happens next with more complex actions .... Is this a game or a job that I get paid to do? To get to the game you have to force yourself. And the interface is small and incomprehensible. There are no pop-up labels above the buttons, on which only non-informative and non-intuitive images. That is, you have to remember everything ?! In general, it seems that I made such a craft for myself that only I can play. And then he suddenly decided to sell to dupes.

The game looks interesting enough as you can see from the screenshots. What you cant see though are the walls of text that are delivered from an UI that couldnt get worse if it tried. Tiny fonts with a readability of non existant, no way to change the screen resolution(at least under linux) and bad UI decisions like putting the tooltip text in the lower right corner even if you mouse over something in the upper left corner make for a great reading pleasure. If you arent sporting perfect vision I cannot recommend this game.
