Simple but worth a look
A little over simplified - mainly well voiced - basic graphic level. Still, entertaining enough.

I dig it. Dynamic interface and great art direction. It is also nice to see games come out of literature.

Short, easy game
I think I just finished the easiest adventure game I've played. Part of that may be because I've read the story years back and have seen the David Suchet version on TV within the last 5 years or so. Still the puzzles were very simple, although I didn't follow one or two of the "little gray cells" questions' logic as there were more than one possible solution but that's very minor. The gameplay was straight forward. You haven't any real independence. You can see the artistry in the thumbs. Voices were good. I'm not sure what I expected going into a mystery where I could remember certain aspects but it was fun enough and I doubt if I would have had any problem anyway as it drags you through. Interestingly it had black dragons in it ,as the night before I played it I was looking up the Black Dragon Society to see whether their name was based on the Heilong Jiang. If you are looking for a challenging mystery you might want to consider something else. If you don't know the story and don't want to read it or see the TV version first or just want a game that will finish in a day that's fairly straight forward and easy give it a shot.

Des défauts et des qualités.
Je ne connaissais pas l'histoire de base, n'ayant jamais trop prêté attentions aux aventures d'Hercule Poirot. Et sur le plan du scénario, j'ai été plutôt agréablement surpris. L'histoire est bien écrite, et le gameplay ne dessert par cette partie. Mais l'aspect technique est tout autre... Le jeu est bloqué à 30FPS (et c'est réellement visible...), tous les personnages ont un balais dans le dos, on ne sait pas toujours où il faut cliquer, cliquer glisser, double cliquer, ou regarder. Certains dialogues n'ont pas de voix, et certains passage sont juste bloquants (mais l'utilisation d'un indice à travers le menu peut résoudre ce genre de situation). A côté de ça, la direction artistique est vraiment soignée et réfléchit, et une vraie réussite sur ce point. Globalement, si on arrive à passer outre les défauts techniques du jeu, on peut découvrir une histoire intéressant qui nous occupera pendant 6 petites heures.
