Huge story and atmosphere
Yes, this game is not long and it is very linear. BUT - very rich story, great dark atmosphere and very unconventional heroes make from it masterpiece.

quite okay game with few frustrations..
So, i did not finished the game but in two hours i only seen few negatives: + pretty cool graphics, they are not perfect but they are quite colorful and varied. + the sound is okay, voices are decent, lips are almost ok + the story seems very interesting but a little dark and gritty + the stealth and crafting are decent but not that complex - the fights are awkward due to animation locking and the very small window in time when you can actually do something you need to do to progress.. - mouse (camera) sensitivity is very hard to raise in menus because instead of normal sliders they choose to make us repeatedly press side angles a thousand times..

Game of The Year for me...
Excellent single player game. Nice graphics excellent sound and voice acting, the story is very interesting as well, in resume a very good game. (RECOMMENDED)

An excellent action-adventure game
One of the best story game I played. The atmosphere is well done and really immersive and the gameplay, despite it's simplicity, just works and feel good. All important characters have different and unique personalities, motives, and place in the story that are highlighted by the wonderful narrative of this game, that kept me in for the 15h needed to complete this game. I would have loved to know more about this universe, the background and how these events impacted the story, but the game kept itself centred about the hard and survival life of its protagonists. If a second game is released, it will be an instant buy for me! There is no way I would not jump again in this wonderful story!

Good game but with some caveats
It's technically good looking game, the environment, atmosphere, and world is detailed and sometimes unsettling. We could only imagine what its like to live through the black plague and caught in the middle of the French and British wars. I like the game, I recommend it but its not a 'must play game'. If you skip it, you are not missing out on anything. This game is like an interactive mini tv series instead of a game. If you just finished playing an open world game before playing this, it may feel restrictive. Its a by the book, linear game. There is no exploring and the flow and pace of the game is scripted. There times where you want to speed up and run but you are forced to walk and go along with the script. Especially, when you are around Hugo. There is no 'play style' for the players, like I said, its linear, you will go through stealth, then a scripted area and eventually have to confront an enemy. You can and will use the rats to swarm the enemy at some points in the game. There is no total stealth and non lethal way to play through the game. The use of the rat hordes is interesting but its not an innovation. There are plenty of games out there that use the environment as tools. The puzzles are not challenging, they are simple, straight to the point. The voice actors are good but the flow and pace of the conversations is unnatural. They sound like they are reading from their scripts so it feels forced. There's not much else to say about the game. Just don't have high expectations.
