poeticgog: SUCCESS!! I found a solution. Go to options menu inside your game and select language. In there, you can pick English text and keep German audio.
Exactly. In my case Patch 1.0.3 did not change any settings, so I had German audio and English subtitles even without going to the language settings in the main menu.
