kozross: I get no sound at all from Pier Solar when I run it. At the command line, I get the following error message:

ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1099:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave

What am I missing/how can this be solved? I'm on Arch Linux.
Some other application might be blocking your sound output. Have you tried restarting your PC?

Do you have more than one sound card or do you have your computer plugged to a monitor or TV via HDMI? This also might be helpful:
