And what to put in the fields? That Nvidia driver has an issue with Galaxy + Wallpaper Engine?

That Galaxy has an issue with Nvidia driver? I don't know what is causing this.

And the bug report doesn't take images, if I could even find it that is...

Thank you, that lets me at least post the image as part of the report, since it's.. pretty hard to explain unless you see it.
Regarding NV sharpening, that's a problem with Nvidia's driver. It's not just GOG Client with this issue. Happens in the League of Legends client too (at the log in screen artwork) and even some pop ups in Windows 10 itself! Sure, maybe the GOG developers could do something on their end but the issue lies with Nvidia here.

I think the issue is with the GPU scaling. If I disable that in global settings then it goes away. Enable it and it comes back. The actual sharpening value doesn't do anything. I've read that it's a hardware acceleration issue. It'd be much easier for Nvidia to fix whatever they've broken than go off to Microsoft/Riot/GOG asking them to patch it.

Instead of enabling Image Sharpening/GPU Scaling globally in your control panel it'd be better to enable it on a per game basis until Nvidia fixes the issue in a future driver update.

Edit: if you're enabling it on a per game basis you should create a custom resolution (i have 2176x1224 for 1440p), enable image sharpening, and set your GPU to scale to aspect ratio under the "adjust desktop size and position" section and check the "override the scaling mode set by games and programs" box.

Ah, that is very interesting, Galaxy is the first application where that problem manifested itself on my end then. That's why I asked before reporting anything, because it's not exactly clear to me what part of the system is doing what here because sharpening isn't supposed to apply procedurally over time on a static image and it happening only when Galaxy is static (nothing moving, scrolling, etc) made absolutely no sense to me.

I guess another thing learned then.
