Kozak1993: So as a bit of a background, I'm Polish, which is also where GoG comes from. GoG is a part of CDProject, which used to sell these "Good Old Games" in it's own, boxes series titles "Extra Klasyka" ("Extra Classics"). They've used to cost around $7 for a normal game and $10 for full trilogies and such.

That was around ten years ago.

Now I wanted to play some of the classics one more time - namely Disciples 2 and Sacrifice. The former I once bought for the $10 price and, since I got the box right here - it was back in 2005. 9 years ago. Somehow, on GoG, the game still costs $9.99, despite it being over 12 years old. I still managed to pick it up on sale, but waiting for sale to see the price drop to a reasonable level... Now, the latter, Sacrifice, I once got totally free in a magazine. Does that give me the right to pirate it, since I technically own the disk? Probably. Yet I've still looked up the price on GoG and was shocked to see it costing $9.99 again. A 14 year old game that was once given out for free and not alone, even, but with a bunch of others on the side. And that's a the trend for every game on the site.

Now I understand, that $10 for me is completely different than $10 for someone living in the west. But even then it frankly feels like scam towards them, since "they won't find the price ridiculous", while the game itself isn't worth that much. So why these prices?
We don't set the prices, that's up to the rights holders :)
