Gorb is ok from what I remember it was a few others that went a bit too far. They seemed to forget that people are there to have fun not just talk about build orders.

There are always some. But I generally avoid official forums. The Bioware Social one being a good example of why.

From Chris Priestly:
"Here is my official response. You will likely see this picked up on news sites soon enough.
EA strictly enforces the code of conduct at Social.BioWare.com. If a player violates the rules by using profanity, they will be temporarily banned. Unfortunately, there was an error in the system that accidentally suspended a user's entire account. Immediately upon learning of the glitch, EA restored the user's macro account and apologized for the inconvenience."

Mistake? It's in their bloody EULA. Is that maybe a spelling mistake?

I'm pretty sure this is cover for "we pay the people doing this crap too little and don't train them, so he pressed the wrong button." The system didn't magically "error out" on them, it most likely did exactly what they asked it to do.

Probably. We will never know the truth but that was what I was expecting to happen even if it is PR bullshit.

LOL. Some Tattle-Tale, uptight ,sniveling twit reported him in the Bio-Ware's forum, not even the multi-player part of the game but the friggin' forum and that locked him out of his game for three days.
The only thing the Bioware rep could say was "Sorry, we are under EA now and we have to abide by EA."
I don't have many Bioware games but remind me not to go anywhere near that forum or online with their games.

I am rather disappointed about the way that ended. I really wanted to see major clash, where angry users would charge with armored bears (and dolphins) against the evil force of EABio. What a sight that would have been. You know, Bioware's last stand or something :D
But seriously, while I don't really believe in the "it was a glitch" explanation, it's the official and most likely final statement. Shame really.
Wonder if this gets forgotten soon?
Edit. Darn typos...
