I'd also agree with akhliber in that while it might seem that western cultures are better at dealing with mental illness, it's a bit of a good and bad situation. Yes, more attention is brought to it, but there's still all the stereotypes and negative associations. Still, I suppose slow progress is better than none.
genkicolleen, that's good to hear on the progress with your daughter :) (I have read everyone else's, but I have no real comments to make.)
On a related note, and because of what stg83 posted, I got curious: who here has a de-stress or relaxing game that you head into if you've having a bad day? For me, I've found that exploration games work the best -- pick a direction and see what you find. Euro Truck Sim 2 is, at the moment, the one I turn to but I'm sure as I work through my backlog (which I will be doing as soon as I post this) I'll find a few more. I know that Proteus and Dear Esther will fulfil those criteria, and those are in my 'play next' queue.
I have a game like that. Crusader Kings II: because nothing is more fun than having your own dynasty to shape throughout history :)
Yall carry on :)
