Is there not a board somewhere on the net where you (general you, not singling out OP)can discuss politics?

Not trying to be rude, but just about every political or hot button issue thread tends to devolve to the point where people are slinging mud at each other by about, oh..., page 5 or so and then I get concerned PMs from people asking me to close the thread...

Again, not trying to be rude, just seen this happen one too many times.

Gonchi: How about a centralized forum thread? Somewhat like the conversational thread but for controversial subjects.
And then I'd get people PMing me to shut it down because people are either being insulting, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc. (Yes, I've closed quite a few threads that brought out the worst in people, why do you ask?)

If gog.com wants to steer off-topic discussion, there is the concept of moderation. It was done once, or not?

If no more, Donald Trump shall go forth freely. And some will say against. Hopefully not too unkindly...
I don't "hate your pro-homo stance" (if I think I know what you mean by this...) so I am not sure where you got THAT from O.o

As for steering conversation, it would be best for divisive topics, such as politics, to be discussed at the right time and the right place.
