Hey folks, figured I'd leave this here!

We're looking for a new member of the team to help out around the forums (and other people-places too), and there's probably no better way to start looking than among the community itself. :)

Check out the link below, maybe it just happens to be your thing. It does mean working out of our Warsaw-based office, but it's also a seriously awesome opportunity for an adventure (and we offer all the help you need with relocating).

Hit me/us up if you have any questions about the position and process. I, for one, am pretty damn excited. :D

phaolo: We need a hero O_O'
the one you want or the one you deserve? :p

rampancy: Wait, is Judas leaving!? We practically need someone who's Judas and TET rolled into one.
avatar
Vitek: I don't think he implied that. It's more like Judas always filled that role while it is not his actual job.
Exactly that.
avatar
jamyskis: So basically after all this time you've never found someone to replace TET? ^_^
I doubt he can be replaced at all :)
avatar
rampancy: Wait, is Judas leaving!?
I am not going anywhere :)

Konrad: snip.....

catpower1980: BTW, even if I'm not interested in the job ATM, I'm curious about this:

"Prior record of forum engagement and online communities management in an international environment, either professionally or privately."

==>> I've been quite active on various Internet forums since 1999 under different pseudonyms so how someone can effectively prove his/her experience as anonymity is the norm most of the time?
I'd say just like any other work experience that ends up in a CV. These things usually come out during the interview process, if not, and you can completely wing it, get the job with no one catching on... well you're probably pretty damn good at the job anyway. ;)

adaliabooks: Nice to see Gog are finally paying some attention to the forum. Shame about the relocation to Poland still being necessary, but hopefully someone from the community will be willing and interested and will give it a go :)
Poland is awesome!

Cyraxpt: Oh really? What about the web team? Are we getting people that can actually fix the forum or just another puppet to tell us that you're "discussing" that?
Dude, have you seen the number of "webby" positions we're recruiting for!? It's like 85% of the offers right now.

tinyE: I HAD 1K!

I was stripped of it by those would not want to see me reach my full glory!

BTW how come the forum trolls always vanish when Blues show up in a thread? :P
avatar
omega64: That's the joke. :P

Magic.
I... I'm a wizard? :O

sunshinecorp: The one that's gonna fight 400 dragons, six million soldiers of fortune and if that ain't enough, will shoot down ten million Venus invaders for a night of our love. It's gonna be rough.
IDDQD

sunshinecorp: Goddamn cheatin' GOG staff... But wait. DRAGONS know how to type, too.
32167 then :p
avatar
Breja: It's kind of hilarious how even the GOG staff's avatars are not showing properly (one next to post, another in quotes) :D
why would we be immune to forum bugs?
avatar
sunshinecorp: You guys all know that "specialist" is a term for "contract killer", right?
GOG WANTS US DEAD!
we already have several specialists, some under my command even
don't you worry XD
avatar
tinyE: No, you had several specialist.

Grand Moff Tarkin was blown to pieces when he refused to board his shuttle, remember?
