Five years have passed since the release of the original This War of Mine game. To celebrate this anniversary 11bit studios has prepared a surprise for all the fans. A new free update, called Final Cut to the game awaits them on GOG.COM.

As 11bit studios art director, Przemysław Marszał puts it: “Fantastic support from the gaming community was a huge part of that success, so it was without any doubt that this update must be free. We think of the Final Cut as a closing episode to the one-of-a-kind series This War of Mine has been”.

A new update to the This War of Mine adds additional content like new scenario, more stories, quests, and events. Gamers will also receive a brand-new character and remastered versions of classic locations.
Seems like the store page stills calls it "Soundtrack Edition".

Also, any chance we could get the "War Child" DLC in some way?

I tried to contact 11 bit studios with the perfect solution to have the DLC also on GOG but they never answered me, do you know if there is a way to contact them effectively?
There is Complete Edition of this game on Steam. Why we don't have it here on GOG?
Awesome! Thanks for the free content update!

Install it and see for yourself. ALL is added in this version: children, father's promise, etc. Enjoy!

The locations from the DLCs are included. The actual storyline mode from the DLCs are not. You also won't have child survivors without the little ones DLC.
I wonder if this final cut finally has a tutorial or a manual, because I was unable to figure out how to play the game and simply uninstalled it.

There is no manual for this game and it is a shame you have given up on it. I urge you to try it again. It is one of the best games I have played in years.

Try to treat it initially as a point and click adventure. Click over all the info you can, characters, objects, biographies....The choices will become quite stark and hard thought once you have played it for a while.

It's an interesting idea, thanks. I'll return it to my active backlog.
That said, if I'm not mistaken, in this game, unlike P&C adventures, time does not stand still while I read...

the clock will never really stand still for any decision ;)

that is part of the draw to this game- you have to decide on priorities that have harsh consequences but just may keep your character alive for a little longer.. many moral dilemmas.
