JKeift: As noted in the product's page, "Dual-stick Controller required." Don't even try to play this one with KB+M.
Controller is clearly the better option but just for the record, I did finish the game just fine using M+K. There were a couple of tricky parts but nothing that prevented me from loving it to bits :)

I played it using keyboard just fine <.<

Leroux: Really? How did you manage those parts that required turning a crank? When I tried playing it with keyboard I couldn't get past the very first area at all because it seemed not only very tedious but also next to impossible to do. With the gamepad this was no problem at all.

Even if you're somehow able to do it nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend anyone to play it with keyboard controls. This game needs to be played with a gamepad (an XInput gamepad specifically), and GOG should make that more evident on the gamepage. It's not much fun otherwise and you'll also miss out on a core experience that the game is centered on. It's just doesn't feel the same with keyboard.

And I don't say this as a gamepad fanboy, but as someone who was burned by ignoring these warnings, thinking I could play it with PS2 controllers or mouse and keyboard. I actually bought my XBox360 controller grudgingly because of this game - so it turned out much more expensive than I anticipated. :P (Of course now I use it for other games as well.)
I just kept ctrl and spacebar pressed, it turns by itself only very slowly :D
