Bringing support for localized pricing, Reais and Boleto, Brazilian-Portuguese customer support, and new game premieres up to 70% off!

Olá, Brasil! The Olympic games in Rio may be over but the DRM-free games have just arrived! Today, Brazil becomes the fourth country to get its own, fully localized version of GOG.com, including better support for Brazilian customers, highly-requested features, and new game premieres that hail from the beautiful land of samba, colorful getups, and football wizards.

Our Brazilian friends now have access to GOG.com's entire catalog of 1600+ DRM-free games (plus all upcoming ones), locally priced in Brazilian Reais, with support for new payment methods like Boleto, and our world-class customer support services available in Brazilian-Portuguese.

To celebrate the launch, two Brazilian classics join the GOG.com catalog: Knights of Pen and Paper +1 (60% off), the reimagining of a beloved indie RPG by Behold Studios, and Oniken: Unstoppable Edition (70% off), a retro-styled action platformer created by JoyMasher. Additionally, a large content patch for Shovel Knight premieres with a 33% discount – also introducing official support for Brazilian Portuguese and a bunch of gameplay improvements. Pounce on these deals right here!

Let us offer a warm welcome to all Brazilian gamers who are joining our ever-growing ranks, and hope that our friendship is as long-lasting as the Amazon rainforest and as hot as the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Bem-vindo, amigos!

I'm from Portugal but I don't speak Brazilian, português-brasil is not português-portugal, plus I prefer to read in English some words or meaning get lost in translation.
So make a options on my profile if I want localization or not... It's very disrespectful and annoying when websites that used to be in English are now on Brasilian.
Hey =)

I myself am an avid consumer of game content in English, and I do understand your complain. Still the change was important to make sure all Lusófonos could see that there is a support for Portuguese (even if the Brazilian one).

You can change your language settings at the config, and they will stay like that, saved via cookies.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I hope you understand our intention.

triple_l: please give us a direct URL to the english site like:
or like Google does "/ncr" "no country redirection"
Just set you language preferences in the dropdown at the bottom right of the homepage, and you should be set.

a_herrmann: Brazilians, beware: payment by boleto has an extra "risk management tax" that is not disclosed until you get to Boacompra's (GOG's commercial partner in Brazil) checkout page. Also, Boacompra's privacy policy seems likely to send you spam by e-mail or phone (yes, phone number is obligatory on checkout):

"(iii) aos seus parceiros estratégicos, comerciais ou técnicos, com a finalidade de oferecer melhores condições dos Serviços ao Usuário. Ademais, o USUÁRIO DECLARA EXPRESSAMENTE E CONCORDA QUE O BOACOMPRA COLETE INFORMAÇÕES PARA A REALIZAÇÃO DE ACOMPANHAMENTO DE TRÁFEGO, COM INTUITO DE IDENTIFICAR GRUPOS DE PERFIL DE USUÁRIOS E PARA FINS DE ORIENTAÇÃO PUBLICITÁRIA"

So far I've given up buying in BRL and I'll stick to buying in USD because of that.
