Hi all,

We have updated the Mac version of Divinity: Original Sin to the latest version and we have fixed the bug with the language selector not working. You should now be able to play in the language of your choosing without any weird errors :)

Silverhawk170485: Why are there different version numbers on the download site and the files for the windows version?

The downloadpage shows 1.0.57 and the files you'll download are named 2.3.0.6.
I was hoping that by labeling the PC files such would show the actual in-game version of the files so that folks wouldn't be worried that they aren't getting the latest patch...

Malboury: Great! I might be missing something though - is there no patch I can use instead of downloading the whole 8.6GB game again? I just downloaded and installed the game last night - do I need to get this version as well to be able to play with my Windows using friend?

Thanks!
There were patches for the Mac but we had to scrap them as they were causing more issues than solving when we tried to make a patch with the Mac version. In short, I'd recommend a re-download and I realize it's not the best solution to have to re-download the entire 8 GBs again :/

Ah, don't worry about it. Better having something stable even if it's not 100% as convenient. I'll grab the new version. I might get lucky and get it finished on the office connection before close ;-) Thanks for the quick response!
Ahh yes, the office connection is the best connection :D

You're welcome :)

jetc91: Hello,

Just to be sure, are we talking about the last patch 1.0.72? And if not, How can I find this patch for mac version?
We'll be rolling 1.0.72 tomorrow for everyone :)

TheJoe: You're one version behind again and 1.0.72 is a really important patch. Who is it that's failing to make sure Steam and GOG have version parity? Is it you or Larian? Whoever it is can you please apply a boot to their bum?

Edit: Okay I had a million tabs open. And I'm whin- i mean pointing important information out in the wrong thread. But, Judas, honestly - I whined none.
We have to go home sometime :) If a patch comes just after we leave the office it's rather difficult for us to get it out the same exact minute :)

oli56: Hi, well guys the version management on gog and divinity is a total mess I am afraid. First thing, the gog package version and the game version do not match. Of course some will find very good reasons for that, providing tons of very valid information, but in the end, it will remain non-understandable for the average gamer I am. Second, "there is a new update for Mac" in a great 9.35GB package (because otherwise, guess what, it's a mess!). Before the update, I had version 1.0.67.0 of D:OS, after the update, I have version 1.0.67.0 (and still no ability to change the language in game). Guys, really, how can this be such a mess ? The good thing is the game is great, that saves the day.
The newest Mac version is up :) See the new sticky on top :)
