DeadYorick: BG1 runs fine on my rig but when I try running it on my laptop I get hit with massive lag. However, when I play the second game it runs fine.

The game also refuses to run in a window. Whenever I try it hits me with this error message

"An assertion failed in D:\Dev\Baldur\ChUIcontrols.cpp at line number 488"

I also thought about running TuTu since BG1 would be running on BG2's engine. But when I do run BG1 through TuTu the game's resolution fucks up and half the screen is split off with the other halves mirrored
