Description
Now includes the Moonwalkers Update

This free update brings:
  • 10 new levels (some in low gravity conditions)
  • 6 new enemies for your space-faring zombies
  • New traps
  • Plenty of fixes and improvements to the main campaign

Prepare yourself for the most thrilling night of your life! Something strange has happened and people everywhere are turning into blood thirsty walking corpses. But guess who’s the brains behind this hungry undead army? YOU! So spread this pandemic to wipe humanity of this planet. Because the only way to survive the zombie apocalypse, is to BE the apocalypse!

But the brainless undead are quite dumb… even dumber than you might expect given their lack of grey matter. Because when left to their own devises, they will just endlessly walk forward and fall into permanently deadly booby traps placed by not-so-helpless humans. So to accomplish your mission of world extermination, you will need to help guide them to their next yummy meal. Luckily you can utilize numerous special mutations to make your troops evolve and fulfil their appetite for flesh. But beware! Humans will not facilitate your dark will….they will fight to survive.

Spread terror through 40 levels and enrol more zombies into your undead army. Along the way you’ll have to solve brain tingling puzzles, and fight increasingly powerful foes that are hell-bent on staying alive. The closer you get to total world extinction, the harder survivors will fight to put you in the ground….for good. Blood, tears, non-sexual moans, inappropriate laughter, and tons of puzzles that will literally blow your brains out... This is Zombie Night Terror!
  • Command a Zombie Horde: You are the brain, they are the muscles. Your zombie horde will obey your commands without any strike risk or complaints … On the downside; you can’t have any heated conversations about late night movies or cool books anymore tough!
  • Unique Mutation System: Having an army of deadly zombies is awesome. Having an army of mutated zombies is way better! Take advantage of our mutation system to overcome the enemy’s defences, by creating powerful new zombie types. Each has their unique power and abilities that can help you overcome different situations.
  • Combo System: Because you thought mutations were your only way to facilitate your meat feast, we spiced it up allowing you to combine those and see what your enemies are made of (literally). Let’s show those pesky humans how to have fun!
  • You are not alone: Having zombies is kind of like having a pet; it’s fun but you need to take care of them… That’s what humans are for, as they are the perfect way to keep your zombies well fed and busy. But beware! Humans are well armed and they do not appreciate the toothy company of the undead.
  • Contaminate: Don’t have enough company? Do you need a bigger horde? Well, just convert Humans to your cause then! You don’t necessary need to bring flowers and be charming, as a single bite right into the neck (or anywhere that pleases you) should be enough to do the trick!
  • Destructible Environments: In times of a zombie apocalypse, humans love to take their time playing hide and seek. However when the hunger for tasty flesh is this painful, you don’t have time for such childishness. So use the power or your horde to destroy their playground and spread terror among them… PEEKABOOM!

Great game!

I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed Lemmings series in the 1990s. The zombies are similar in that they have no objections against falling off the cliffs, but the things you can do with them are actually quite different from the traditional lemming games. First of all, there is no real limit on any single skill that your herd can use, but rather a shared pool of "DNA" which basically means points that you spend to get your zombies do something else than walk forward and eat brains. Second, remember these "stopper" guys that you had to place around all the time to prevent your lemmings from falling into abyss? Well, here they are "overseer" zombies that, apart from forcing others to walk in a specific direction, can also be given super-powers such as speeding them up or throwing them high into the air, which lets you reach seemingly inaccessible ledges. While the difficulty curve might seem a bit easy at first, it escalates in the later stages to a point where you actually have to do some thinking to get through to the next level. For those who want an acutal challenge, there is an extra objective on each map, and it varies very strongly, (ranging from "kill every single human" to "do not let any civilians die"). On other maps you are not allowed to use some particular abilities if you want to score the achievement. All in all, the developers managed to let in some fresh air to an excellent traditional game while preserving the fun factor. Bonus points for making the player The Bad Guy, and some cheesy humour!

Underrated Gem

I considered Lemmings back then to be on okay-game but this interpretation is really on another level. Granted: The presentation seems old-fashioned with its pixel style and text-based narration but it is honestly very skillfully done. The writing is superb and funny, the soundtrack is fantastic and memorable and the game-play is polished and to the point. It saddens me that this game did not get as much attention as it deserved.

A... terrific game! (yuck)

Zombie night terror is easily one of the quirky games out there, with a lot of style and pixelated horror. Basically, it is a strategy game where you shall guide the horde to the next dinner. It has multiple types of zombies, a good number of different maps and enemies and a lot of humour, style and references. So, yes! an indie masterpiece definitely worth buying!

A Real-Time Punitive Puzzle Game of Pain

STAY BACK. NEVER RECOMMENDED. This is bottom-of-the-barrel tier stuff. Barely a game. A typical plays-much-worse-than-it-looks clunky Unity game. Lemmings or fun this is not. Pixel graphics, yet runs like trash. The controls are terrible and the gameplay is not at all designed to work with the clunky, imprecise controls. There are annoying glitches such as the units turning back from instead of attacking a marked target. The gameplay gets old fast after a couple of levels and it drags on for dozens of levels. The gameplay system does not work and is not fun. It is a struggle. You go to work to take a vacation from this game. Game design is nuts. Let's take pausing - it does not stop time unlike in other games. Now consider that there are time-based challenges in this game. If you do not do the challenges, it devolves into an awful grind until the level ends. The zombies have no lasting power at all, so you are pretty much baby sitting dozens of units all at once or you will quickly lose. Generally, just one mistake or a moment with not enough pausing-and-microing can easily cost you the level. You are not given any fun leeway to experiment. Unless do the level in a specific way, you will lose. The solutions often involve the most video-gamey, real-life-illogical choices. For example, bunching up your dudes to rush a shotgun dude with less casualties is an viable strategy instead of a suicidal disaster it should be. Get Lemmings game instead. I recommend Xmas Lemmings. It is short, fun and the levels are well-designed. The punishing element is not there. It does not try to be your job.

Watch the world around you fall apart.

Guide your zombie horde to destroy mankind. Upgrades, interactive world, make your own levels even! This game has everything, and you don't want to miss it. Not to mention that the soundtrack is something straight out of the 80's and sounds wonderful. Imagine Michael Jackson's "Thriller" only techno-vised and remastered. It's great.
