Zeus + Poseidon (Acropolis)

Zeus + Poseidon has a great appeal to new and old players. Finding a good city builder today is impossible when you compare them to these older ones. Zeus is an extremely stable version of Caesar. If your buildings catch fire they can be put out before your entire city burns to the ground. Huge tip to someone reading this review. If you build your city one one length of road and put culture (college and podium) on opposite sides of the city they will bring that culture to all of your houses regardless of roadblocks. This is extremely space saving and can let you build magnificently large stable cities!

Oh my oh my, that serie of game if not only a pure bless, but this one comes with monsters and heroes. It's a city builder set in ancient greece, but really the monsters, heroes and gods make this one more unique than the other sets (Pharaoh, emperor, Rome). If you should only get one, get this one.

Zeus: Master Of Olympus was one of my first gaming experience in life. Even today, it stands as one of my favorite games of all time. Its a fantastic city builder with humour and history/mythology in one great package. You are taken through different classic settings from greek lore, kinda like a light history lesson ^^ Its perfect for that cosy afternone when you just want to take it easy and enjoy some great, calm ruling of an ancient civilisation. Love it!

I still love this game after all of these years. It's not hard to learn, and the episodes and challenges keep me interested. I love the mythology of the game and how it intertwines the Trojan and Peloponnesian wars into it's story line. Would have loved to see more expansions of this game.

For quite a while I could not got my CD copy to work on a newer PC. The I found GOG and my dream of playing this timeless classic again, has come true! it is every bit like I remember it, with the added bonus of the little bugs being corrected. Great to see the Poseidon expansion is included in the price, I never had that before and already looking forward to its adventures once I have completed Zeus! I am a 56 year old retro gamer (we invented them afterall didnt we?) and so glad I found this site!!! Thank you GOG
