I have played the game when it came originally out. Also bought the game on the Ipad.
The gameplay is great. It plays very well. Its very easy, just defeat the other player. You have a base and can capture more land.
The buildings on that land become yours and al the produce times lowers.
You build vehicles, army and defenses and you defeat the base.
The movies between the levels are very funny. Although they are not that spectacular and after a while a bit of the same, they are still enjoyable.
It's a great and fun game to play.
The mid to late 90's truly was the video game renaissance. Although for me its 3 parts nostalgia, this game still holds up as a quirky yet challenging RTS and remains a gleaming gem from a time when not all games were made from bar charts for shareholders but rather a colorful montage of intrigue and endless possibilities.
Please remember that if you got a hold of an old copy of Z you probably wouldn't be able to play it without serious dos boxing and work arounds,
This is a more playable version and no doubt future updates might address some of the conrols.
No multiplayer and only 20 levels with no skirmish but hey - Even the original wasn't perfect.
4 stars and if a update sorts some of the minors out then it'll get 5.
what most people forget who rate low, is that this is an old game not meant for the pc's of now with all the power so if odd things happen, it happens because it isn't calculated/build for the modern age pc and you should be glad it works on your pc cause GOG brings old games back and doesn't let them die so we all can live our child hood again and if you are not happy well download it with your old pc but i doubt you have it or it's able to even download the GOG downloader so be happy you have an old game that is badass in it's own right and as the advertisment says of this centurie meaning the time it was build, so next time if you give a low rating keep that in mind you might give a higer rating
