Yesterday Origins

The game exceeded my expectations, frankly quite good! It was an enjoyable adventure with a very good plot and voice acting supported by very beautiful graphics. The puzzles were mostly logical and of a decent difficulty. The only aspect I didn't like was the "inspecting a person" feature which I found quite boring. The music was a bit too off at some parts (but hey, this is highly subjective...). In all, a very entertaining experience and I didn't experiment any technical issues as some users did.

Decent adventure, it is not classing point/click. It tries new things - switching characters, zooming on characters and items. BUT it's not good. Control is clunky with both - gamepad or mouse. Some things are not clear and you will end up using everything on everything. I loved original Runaway adventures and I liked first Yesterday game more.

I got stuck early in the game. In a walkthrough I read about interaction with hotspots that don't work in my situation. E.g. the photography light in Pauline's room. When I press the icon to show the hotspots, they are shown, but a few of them don't react to my mouse pointer. Thus I can't play the game.

Its a shame theres not more :(

- The Gameplay is quite solid and most of the puzzles are interesting, although there are some situations where you can feel lost, especially in the first parts of the game. The game uses Ideas as combinable inventory items which is cool but takes some getting used to. - The Presentation is great. The game has its own unique style and delivers a great atmophere, especially through its soundtrack, but also due to its environbment design. - The Story is its biggest strengh. Using twists, turns and revalations it makes for a great mystery with a genuine dark feel to it.
