Yakuza Complete Series
Includes Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, Yakuza 5 Remastered and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life

SEGA’s legendary Japanese series finally comes to PC. Fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka as junior yakuza Kiryu and Majima. Take a front row seat to 1980s life in Japan in an experience unlike anything else in video gaming, with uncapped framerates and 4K resolutions. A legend is born.

The glitz, glamour, and unbridled decadence of the 80s are back in Yakuza 0.

Fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka with protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and series regular Goro Majima. Play as Kazuma Kiryu and discover how he finds himself in a world of trouble when a simple debt collection goes wrong and his mark winds up murdered. Then, step into the silver-toed shoes of Goro Majima and explore his “normal” life as the proprietor of a cabaret club.

Switch between three different fighting styles instantaneously and beat up all manner of goons, thugs, hoodlums, and lowlifes. Take combat up a notch by using environmental objects such as bicycles, sign posts, and car doors for bone-crunching combos and savage take-downs.

Fighting is not the only way to kill time in 1988’s Japan: from discos and hostess clubs to classic SEGA arcades, there are tons of distractions to pursue in the richly detailed, neon-lit world.

Interact with the colourful denizens the red light district: help a budding S&M dominatrix learn her profession, or ensure a street performer can make it to the bathroom in time – there are 100 incredible stories to discover.

Crash-Fest, but Fun

When I bought the Yakuza Collection, I was really hoping to relive what I had felt the first time playing this on Xbox. What I found here is that, while the game runs smoothly, it will randomly (but frequently) crash, which makes anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour's worth of progress lost. I've dialed down settings and brought an FPS counter on the screen to detect drops in frames, to no avail. I have no idea whats going on, but playing darts or going to the disco is less fun when the game crashes. It's making the 100% run much more difficult as well, due to the amount of time it takes to run through cutscenes, replaying specific long sections of the game, etc. Other than the incredible amounts of crashing, the game is phenomenal, and I highly recommend it.

YouTube Cutscene Game, Punitive Gamplay

NOT RECOMMENDED. It looks good, though is a drag to play. The fighting system makes you feel like you are on rails (read: more like on fails) with control directions that change with the wildly spinning camera, the main storyline is super short (multiple speedruns under 4 hours) and the side activities are painfully difficult for wrong reasons ON PURPOSE. The only good part about this game is Goro Majima's character, mostly outside the main plot where he is boringly serious. Do not get this game. It has the same problems as the old Shenmue games - lots of activities that are not fun. Boring, difficult, usually BOTH. Fighting gets old fast. There is really nothing to do in the static city than to fight thugs and Mr. Shakedown the primary source of money. No replay value. Flat content. I get the feeling the unofficial subtitle of the game is "A Game about Yakuza Crime Is Not Supposed to Be Fun." Maybe they do not want soft Western gamers to sign up for Yakuza. The game has two types of content: super easy main story content, somewhat easy substory content and mortally difficult minigame content at parts. The minigames look visual, though are actually purely about timing and extremely punitively so. There are ideal timing indication outside the super easy bowling one. Minigames are the reason do not want to 100 % this game, because it will make you its 100 % female dog in the process. I did do the 100 % activities thing - holy cheese it was painful. I spent a MONTH on it, a game you can rush through in a couple of hours. Learn from the mast... Baka Mitai. If you want the best part, the music. Look up the soundtrack. Koi wa Disco Queen and Heartbreak Mermaid are nice ones and the Goro Majima ones 24-Hour Cinderella and Baka Mitai are no less than memes. A PC Port without Mouse Aim: Chapter 13 has a light gun shooter style sequence with zero mouse support 3 Second Defenseless Penalty From Missing a Grab or Hitting Anything with a Bat = Kiryu Becomes Kill You

Overhyped

I bought it in a pack and I regret it greatly. The reviews convinced me that the games are good. I found nothing of value in it. Boring story, clunky gameplay and uninteresting characters.

THIS GAME IS MAFIA NOT YAKUZA

I hate how I have to fight with the camera and the control the whole time I hate how everything is gacha because gacha means grinding (Want golden rifle gun ? Gacha. Want lead ingot ? Gacha. Want recipe about dragon nunchaku ? Gacha. Want zap gun ? Gacha. Gacha, gacha and gacha I hate how I have to grind to unlock mad dog of shimano (Majima legend style) to have fun I hate how I have to grind to unlock dragon of dojima (Kiryuu legend style) to have fun I hate how I'm being punished to lose 10% shares of an area when I lose to that nerd in a bloody racing mini game (Is Kiryuu stupid when he makes that deal ? Real yakuza deals thing by fist not by using gamepad to beat a nerd) (5 million points to beat that nerd is insane) I hate how everything needs heat to execute a badass move because when there are 20 enemies with gun, blade, hammer, knife, etc. Kiryuu and Majima basically develops a new style which is American style and becomes fake yakuza, and to be honest using guns in this game is boring. When meet 20 enemies, you have no choice but to evade and a few small punches and then evade to generate heat, so it's really infuriating, not to mention those sneaky bastards are holding the gun firing bullets from nowhere going through a bunch of guys attacking me but I'm the only one taking damage. The locking target in this game is awful . So, what I love about this game ? Nishitani fighting style, it's so unique when you see he's lying on the floor, Sera fighting style, simple but effective with his kick to stagger you. Hitman fighting style, splendid combination between gun and blade. Main story and many substories too but I can't deal with the fact that real yakuza can't beat Mr.Shakedown early game in a narrow path because of camera and control problem. 7.5/10
