The war continues... X-COM: UFO Defense brought you to a galactic battlefield. X-COM: Terror from the Deep brings the alien terror into a totally new dimension.
Seeking to take advantage of a weakened Earth, X-COM's deep space foes unexpectedly change strategy and launch a powerful second front against planet Earth.
In the dark depths of vast oceans, long sleeping forces are awakened by reanimation signals sent out across the galactic silence by their interstellar brothers and sisters. Slowly but surely, an army of hibernating alien sea creatures awakens. Your combat now extends to the strange new worlds of the deep where superior alien technologies threaten the very survival of this planet - your planet - Earth.

Still remember trying to play this in the 90's without the Internet and good English. It was hardcore back then and I left it after an hour or so. Now with all the resources and after playing other games it's real fun.
Feels very good even after playing XCOM Enemy Unknown. In 10 hours I found no bugs or other problems. Takes a few minutes to get used to the interface and graphics.
I absolutely love the first UFO: Enemy Unkown since it came out in the 90s. I did play this sequel as well but strangely enough, I never finished the game. It's a lot tougher than its predecessor and slightly less fun because of that. Especially the terror missions. I hate those. :-) Still worth playing though.
I experienced some performance issues though. The game runs very slow and there is not much you can do about it if you want to play it through GOG Galaxy. The solution is using your own DOSBox instead. But you'll probably need to decrease the cycles to slow the game down for a change. Even at the lowest the scrolling will probably be a little faster than you'd like but it's definitely managable. The game runs much much smoother that way.
