Simple but enjoyable.
I quite enjoy this game despite its early problems and despite my expectation of it becoming dull and repetitive. The first problem this game had and to some extent still has is horrendous slowdowns to the point where it was unplayable, think 1 frame every 2 or 3 seconds or so. This problem became manageable after restarting the game once, and strangely the more I play the game the more this problem goes away. To the point where it now after a few hours of playing it it almost never happens any more and never for more then a second or two. The game is very simple, a hack and slash with little in it to set it apart from other such games, I expected to grow bored of it quickly but I'm 7 hours into it and it is still fun to play. Probably because the maps and dungeons don't overstay their welcome and resources are easy to get and very plentiful. It also sprinkles just enough secrets and special pickups/equipment that are easy enough to find and the game keeps track of what you have found and what is still missing. One other problem it has is the 2-D sprites which can be hard to target at times since in a 3-D world they can seem completely flat at times. So despite how simple of a game it is and its problems I find it a playable and enjoyable game. Give it a try if you want a very simple hack and slash to play that looks like an old Japanese RPG.
