An absolutely engrossing game that was responsible for many sleepless nights back in the 90s is back to bring more sleepless nights now! What's there not to like about teams of 10 worms unleashing hell against each other on a fully destructible map using a wide arsenal of fun and imaginative weapons? The answer is "nothing". Especially if you are using the multiplayer option. The look on your buddy's face when your well-placed holy grenade sends a bunch of his best worm-soldiers to a better place is just priceless.

Creative use of weapons is the key to victory. You can shoot the bazooka directly at your opponent and take some of his health. If you are clever and skilled, though, then maybe there is a way to use the wind and gravity to curve the trajectory of the projectile so that it lands right behind his cover and throws him from the cliff, causing an instant death? The feeling of satisfaction after such a brilliantly executed stunt is what makes this game great. So if you are looking for a game to play with your friends then you really can’t go wrong with Worms United.

Very low resolution

GOG your evil :P

Now just need the editor... where I could put my favourite model and have worms set around her.. Games hit and miss on dosbox. Ocean pi**ed Team17 off by claiming Team17 was out of biz. Had to import the game out of Yorkshire. And now GOG offers it. Rock on!!! Find it on my smartphone and I'm here period.

Mac Port?

This was a DOS game, and the original CDRom loads on Boxer for Mac. My basic question is; will there be a Mac port developed, or will I just have to import the GOG worms folder myself? Either way i will probably plunk down the cash to purchase Worms again.

Worthless release

GOG and Steam releases of this game is worthless, since you can download Worms: Director's Cut (bigger and better version of Worms United, that includes many new maps, weapons and features) for free from Dream 17 and play it through Amiga emulator. In my humble opinion, that should've been the version released here with Worms United as a bonus.

Good game, but didn't age well

I remember enjoying Worms a long time ago, but the sequels add a *lot* of stuff and *much* smoother graphics, and as a result blow Worms into the weeds for everything but the nostalgia factor. If this game cost $3 I'd say get it for the nostalgia alone, but $6 is too much for a few sighs and memories of the past.
