This game doesn't run

I cannot get this game to run, despite my laptop being much, much better than the minimum requirements. It crashes on launch. Every post which claims to have solved the problem also hasn't posted the solution. While I don't think this is GOG's fault, I am also upset at the sheer lack of support or community posts regarding this problem on their website. All the discussions are on Steam forums. Worms 2 also crashes on launch after one cutscene, but at least there is a solution to fix the problem. This is just baffling.

Completely broken

The game freezes constantly. It hangs on the menus, when restarting a level, when showing the score and sometimes just at random. Several levels all but require you to use some of the special abilities, but it hangs when you do that, too, to the point of turning into a slideshow. I'm pretty sure this makes some of the challenges and levels literally impossible. Avoid this broken piece of crap.
