Solid RTS, Works Almost Perfectly
Still remains a very decent RTS, part Ground Control and part Company of Heroes. I encountered a couple of cutscene crashes where I had to skip the cutscene to continue but apart from that it ran infinitely better than the Steam equivalent.

Good RTS, even if somewhat short
Too bad the game can be completed in roughly 13-14 hours if played on Easy. I expected the campaign to end with the defeat of the USSR, but it ends right after you defeat the Soviets in Seattle; that's a bit disappointing. Not to mention you won't be commanding huge armies, but a maximum of 7-10 units (or slightly more, depending on your tactical choices) per mission. Still, a good game especially if bought on sale.

Best Cold War Real Time Tactics Sim
This game has been a dear favorite since I first played in 12 years ago. I found it again on GoG and immediately bought it. Since then its been many hours of happy playing. I play the multiplayer with Bots and its a decentish challenge. All in all a great game with a great story. The only thing I would wish for is a random single player map generator to increase replay value.

not working on modern systems
Does not seem to work anymore, menu loads fine, when you click start it loads the game and says press any key to continue and nothing works from here on, it's just stuck on that screen. Bought this version hoping it would work since on gog it says Windows 11 but both this and steam have the same issue, no compatibly setting seem to work
