Even in its immutable, heavily cutscene driven form, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is an accomplished piece of genre fiction with some characters I'll come to miss. Pour a goblet of the red stuff and join them, you won't be disappointed.

No DLC, but something better.
Once upon a time I decided to finally play the expansion pack Blood and Wine I bought with the season pass. That moment however was a few months ago. Back when I decided to start with the DLC I didn't realize this DLC was this huge. Toussaint is a huge playground to play in, wth the usual side quests you expect of CD Project (meaning there is a story behind every one of them). The story is intriguing and makes you want to carefully consider your choices as they can affect the outcome of the game. In other words this is no DLC, this is an expansion pack like in the days of old. You don't pay for just a few hours of extra playtime, you pay for days possible even weeks. So if you have the opportunity (and the time) to play this, I would recommend doing so.

Blood and WIne
Beautiful breathtaking fantasy gameworld, intriguing quest and complex characters. All in an expansion that could qualify as a game it is own right. I would recommend this even as a stand alone game.
