Wintermoor Tactics Club

This game was one of those i didnt think i would buy because the art style wasnt my thing. It has a default lead character in the form of Alicia, a melanin rich black girl. That and the turn based combat got me intrigued so i bought it and never thought about returning it. Its a charming little game that lures you win with nice visuals, adorable stories and great characters. There is no black trauma in this game either so if youre looking for a game with diversity, great story and just plain fun, buy this!

Well, being a veteran of tactical games I can't recommend this one. It's SO ELEMENTARY it's not even funny. It's technically alright, but that's it. RPG elements are very childish and tactical combats are beyond basic. Its neither exciting nor engaging. Nothing in it is wrong, it's stable, not buggy at all... and yet playing it feels like a waste of time. I would not even recommend it for tactical beginners, since buying Hard West 2, Warhammer 40k Mechanicus, Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark or Wildermyth (all of them should be highly discounted by now) is far superior to this one. Playing one of the abovementioned ones on the lower difficulty level will give you a much better time than you'll ever have with this game.

If you aren't looking for deep tactics but do enjoy big damage numbers and setting up simple synergies to trigger them then I'd definitely recommend the game. A nice, fluffy, stereotypical rpg story about outcasts using the power of friendship to yada-yada-yada but one that's short enough to reasonably finish given limited free time and has good enough writing to genuinely make me chuckle out loud a couple of times. You aren't missing anything by not playing this, but if this general genre of thing is your comfort food then you'll probably enjoy this a lot.

Stop reading and just buy it. This game has and excellent story and the tactics are spot on!
