Description
This version of Wing Commander™ 4: The Price of Freedom features DVD-quality cutscenes.
The year is 2673, four years after the Treaty of Torgo and the end of the Kilrathi War. As hostilities died out, more trivial concerns like rebuilding what was lost or dealing with space piracy, became the biggest concerns of the Terran Confederation. Even Christopher "Maverick" Blair, the famous Confed pilot responsible for ending the war, settled down and became a farmer. In these times of peace, humans grew fat and complacent. All good things must end, though. Soon enough, heinous incidents erupted on the outskirts of the Confederation, and humanity was forced to the brink of civil war. Confed HQ needed the best and decided to recall Colonel Blair to active duty.
This is where you come in.

Yay Wing Commander
So Glad to see you have all the Wing Commanders now..My most fave Game series..I have all of them now Except The two Privateers and Armada. Will be glad to have them all again

Let down by the shooting
This game has some of the best fmv i've ever seen (90s of course) and terrific acting. What a shame that the shooting sim part is awful. I guess nothing touches Freespace2 in that department.

Missiles are OP!!!
I went through a replay of Wing Commander 1-5 playthrough, along with privateer 1-2. but i had to skip WC4 because they made missiles a 1 shot kill for you and for the enemy even if you have full shields and full armor. this made the only stat that was important more or less, was how many flares your ship has. the gameplay changed for the worse. glad they changed it back in WC: Prophecy. played on W7 64bit, Thrustmaster t.16000 non-hotas.
