Wing Commander™ 4: The Price of Freedom

A truly amazing game that has dated in some parts (i.e space combat). Like similar games that followed this the choices you make and the performances in space will affect how the game goes on. The cut scenes are in full FMV (which is unique and to be fair no such game since this release has really followed it). Shame the series had to end with this but its definitely worth the download (even if it took my computer 5 hrs!). Will not give it a full 5 stars due to it looking slightly dated in space combat...but hey it is over 15 years old!!

Great game with awesome story that you have to finish in one session :) Im looking forward to another playthrough taking another from the many paths. The only thing spoiling the fun for me were the frustrating mouse controls so i suggest getting at least a gamepad with analogue sticks.

I really want to play this game. But unfortuantly it won't work on Windows 7. I don't have an older computer with an older operating system. I've tried a few tutorials to get game working with Dosbox. But to no avail. If anyone has any tips please post a review. It's so heart breaking to read these reviews and click "play" and have audio play but no video. Just a black screen. =(

game looks great! runs great!......however, i have a new usa ch flightstick pro. works great on all other games but in this game it trembles everytime i move it. i can still sharp turn and move correctly but when dogfighting if i try to move it a little it trembles and shakes all over the place and it makes for some terrible aiming. so close to my favorite game ever being played the right way for the first time since 1996
