I love this game. I'm a regular pop-culture-affine, enthusiast gamer in my 30s. I don't mind mowing down hordes of enemies with machine guns, adult themes and humor. But damn, I did not know that I needed this kind of wholesome experience.
The gameplay mechanics are incredibly fun. The physics based movement is just great. The design, the animations, the lovely retro-inspired (!) graphics, all perfect. The soundtrack: Really nice and fitting. And the way the different tasks come together in the very simple and purely wholesome storyline is just a perfect match. This can be played with kids (or by kids) but it really doesn't have to. It's just a well-crafted indie game from start to finish. Fully recommended.
I was dreamt about a game where you play as a spider. And this game is all of that and more. Here you try to rescue your spider boyfriend from a bird by making bug friends, spinning webs, and solving puzzles. Simple but fun.
The graphics are the cutest thing ever and I enjoyed the environments a lot.
The music is great, the sound effects are awesome.
The gameplay is very fluid and responsive, to the point I considered speedrunning this game until I saw actual speedrunners, they used the laser eyes along with swinging to propel to super sonic speeds.
Oh yeah, the spider can shoot lasers! The webbing, both weaving and swinging, the laser eyes, and the ability to use leaves as parashot are all the basics of the game and it all works great.
I only have 2 complains. 1 is that the game was extremely fun until I had to put gear into gearboxes in the ant colony. It was way more painful that it to. 2 is that I want more. I want more content because I need more spider games in my life.
Overall is a great and polished game. Being relatively short is somewhat of a good thing since the devs can focus more on creating polished content but I still desire for more games like this.
Also, you can dance on the game.

Maximum cutie factor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This game is a short, fun physics-based puzzle platformer. The puzzles are structured around physics objects, their interactions, and your ability to coarsely manipulate them by spinning webs. It really feels like a game with no cheating, in that you really only have two ways to spin web, ("pull things toward you" vs "pull two things together" webs,) & the entire game stems from your clever (and careful!) use of these two mechanics. It can often be clunky, layering web over web to inch a box towards the ceiling, but I respect the truth in its systems. The game also preserves the position of all physics objects within the save data, so you never need to spin new webs to backtrack, and old, messy puzzle solutions may remain as monuments to your incompetence.
This approach... isn't perfect. For example, I needed to connect a series of rubber tubes in order to supply fuel to a war machine. This quest is incomplete if there are any breaks in the line between the source tank and the machine. I thought I had completed the task, but the NPC disagreed. I soon realized my earlier reckless web-swinging had disconnected the final tube from the machine itself. I hadn't simply knocked it to the side; I'd no-clipped the end of hose into the machine's body. While the tube appeared to be connected to the hull, the very end of the tube wasn't touching the hull's surface, so the line was broken.
I devoted at least a half-hour of play time to breaking this softlock, webbing the exposed tube to moving platforms overhead trying to pull the blasted thing out. Because of truth in systems, I needed to fix a fuel line that wasn't actually part of the puzzle, because while the tube was pre-attached, it was made using the same physics object used in the puzzle. Because physics objects are preserved in the save, I couldn't reset this area without starting a new game. (Note: There's a different area which DOES allow you to reset all physics objects. I assume softlocks were more common there.)
I don't really like puzzle and physics games, but that that one looked so cute that I had to try it. It's a pretty good game that don't overstay it's welcome, there is like 3-5 hours max until you'll see everything. But it will leave you with a cute sandbox world and it's fun to swing around on your web. Controls take some getting used to, but overall it's ok.
