Description

Nemesis - Home Front is the third Nemesis expansion to release for WARNO. This DLC features two brand-new divisions: the Warsaw Pact Soviet defenders of the 157-yaMotostrelkovaya Diviziya and the mixed troops of NATO’s US 6th Infantry Division (Light)

WARNO’s World War III engulfs the front lines in West Germany and beyond. However, the rear areas of both NATO and the Warsaw Pact are vulnerable to a wide array of potential flanking operations, raids, and amphibious or airborne assaults. Both sides equip and raise various units to defend their shores and critical sectors. Nemesis - Home Front presents two well-equipped defensive divisions with additional naval support, to bolster their arsenal and manpower.

Nemesis - Home Front features two brand-new WARNODivisions with a host of new units, weapons, vehicles, and more. Customize your Nemesis battlegroup and take them to war in WARNO’s single-player Skirmish, Ranked, and online Multiplayer.

US 6th Infantry Division (Light)

NATO’s US 6th Infantry Division (Light)’s main task was the defense of Alaska from a direct Soviet invasion across the Bering Sea. The formation could even count on some limited power projection to take the war to any communist takeover of the Aleutian Islands. Limited in armored vehicles, the division combines, under unified command, light infantry, paratroopers, navy, air force, and National Guard units.

The core of the US 6th Infantry Division (Light) is made up of LIGHT RIFLES and AIRBORNE RIFLES. Other equipment includes CH-54B TARHE heavy-lift helicopters, M119 105mm howitzers and AH-1S 'Nam-era Cobras. The National Guard is represented by ALASKAN SCOUTS, N.G. M48A5 ACAV recon tank, and A-7D CORSAIR II attack aircraft. The US Air Force not only provides the new OA-10A recon Thunderbolt but also USAF SECURITY squads with PEACEKEEPER wheeled APCs. The US Navy brings the A-6E INTRUDER and EA-6B PROWLER, plus USMC SECURITY guarding naval bases with DRAGON 300 APCs, and the renowned NAVY SEALS special forces from nearby local training centers.

Soviet 157-ya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya

Warsaw Pact’s Soviet 157-ya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya was a mobilization division with a small cadre of professional soldiers based in Crimea. In case of any enemy invasion, the formation would have absorbed nearby training units and Black Sea Fleet coastal defense assets.

The formation counts on the ubiquitous MOTOSTRELKI riding to battle in a limited number of BMP-1s and BTR-60s. REZERVISTI fills out the rest of the ranks relying on older BTR-152K and BTR-40. The leftovers are grouped in truck-borne PARTIZANI squads with equally obsolete small arms. Tanks are older models, from T-54B and T-55As, with even some ancient IS-2M filling out the ranks. Local arms depots would provide a smattering of old weaponry, such as BS-3 100mm anti-tank guns, D-1 152mm howitzer, BM-24M MLRS and World War 2 antiques such as B-4M 203mm and Br-5M 280mm super-heavy artillery.
Navy and coastal defense units include KSM-65 100mm in an anti-tank role, K-1 recon helicopter, and still-being-tested A222 BEREG 130mm self-propelled gun. Air support includes the new Su-15TM and T-10K (a navalized Su-27K).

Main Features

WARNING: NOT ALL DLC IN EXPASSION PASS

Technically they could just take 75% of the Post-Day 1 content and put it in a DLC not included in the "Gold edition expansion PASS Deluxe" --- which is industry standard language for all-post day 1 content (as the ever-lowering steam review score of the Warno Expansion Pack attests). The DLCs are described in very general terms, so we have to trust Eugen to act in good faith when we shell out our money in advance to buy software that isn't even created yet. It's completely arbitrary what units/maps/features they put in which DLC, even more so in a hypothetical conflict. There is no reason why the two divisions and their units just released couldn't have been a part of SOUTHHAG.... Like, NONE, zero. And while we're on the subject, even if we accept their official explanation, it doesn't look good that Eugen is putting out extra paid DLC that's not a part of the expansion pack before they even finished programming what people have already paid for. But the fact is, no one buys an expansion pack or a season pass or a gold edition or a ultimate edition or a complete edition thinking; "Oh, well, there's obviously going to be a lot of DLC content to buy after the content in the package." Putting some fine print in the text about a specific number of DLCs is not making it at all clear that there will be extra DLCs in addition to the Expansion Pack. If they don't think an "expansion pack" described as the "gold edition" and the "ultimate collection" of DLCs DOESN'T sound like all DLCs, they are lying to themselves and to us. And more importantly, they are using up the trust and good will of their customers. Don't take my word for it, go over to the store page and watch the review score drop in real-time. I probably own about 2k games between Steam, GOG and Epic and if possible, I almost always buy the edition with all DLCs included. In all those "Gold Editions", "Expansion Packs" and "Ultimate Collections" etc., I have never once experienced what Eugen did here.
