The best Cold War era wargame
This game is mixed between Wargame Red Dragon settings mixed it up with a few features from Steel Division 2 but sadly, it doesn't retain the frontline mechanic from the latter. The most beautiful EUGEN System game to date, but also the most optimised one so far. It's better than W: RD, but it's not better than SD 2. If you have to pick only one between WARNO or SD 2, then pick it based on the setting that you like. Both games are great. WARNO retains W: RD mechanics with the most apparent is sector system instead of frontline mechanic. But this time, it has imported LoS feature from SD 2. Although it has much better tutorial explaining various aspect of the game but still one need dozens of hours before one is ready to delve into MP. The gameplay here is faster than SD 2, much of it because the settings which allow modern automatic targeting technology compared to WW 2. So, expect a much faster and chaotic and abit spamming everything here. Nevertheless, it is still a great game and a cut above other RTS on the market right now (except ones like Graviteam or Combat Mission) on realism and authenticity factors. Lastly, the game runs very well even on low end system.
