This game looks so great, I love the soundtrack and the pixelated style. The voice acting is alright but it has one fatal flaw. The game does not work on win10 which is a shame because it really had everything going for it.
The game will allow you to open it, it looks pretty nice for 26 years old rts but it will not load past prepare for battle in the first mission, therefore I can not give it a better score, because the game will not run on a modern pc.
This port doesn't include any keyboard shortcuts, and has no controller support, making the game signifcantly harder to control than the Playstation version.
While the game does run, at least on Windows 10 64 bit, it can be picky about background processes. If you continue to have issues launching the game or missions try running Windows in Safe Mode using msconfig (search in your start menu) and selecting Safe Boot under the Boot tab.
Adding controller support would be trivial and would greatly improve the experience, as the mouse controls are clunky and unintuitive.
the game fails to load and complains that it cannot find its own .dll libraries. according to a short internet search this is due to a broken offline installer. got this game as a giveaway, haven't tried installing with galaxy.
Just purchased this game and like others, crashes at the very first battle load up screen every time. says that "whshr.exe" isn't responding. I have not run into issues like this with GoG before I'm surprised it went out half baked like this. Will happily change review when fixed. I played this back in the day, loved it and I'm eager to fire it up again.
A good old game really. Def one of my old favourites, sounds and animations work fine.
Only thing is there is no keyboard shortcuts or hotkeys. Cant do anything with the keyboard on there.
Breaks the game as you need to manually click move and attack, so when its a big intense battle you lose often. It would be 4-5 stars if it worked and was fun to play, but at the moment its broken and a regret to me. Already tried 3 times through support for a fix and got told to spin on it basically thats the game as they present it.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
