Probs best non-RTS Warhammer 40k game

However, it's a very low bar to clear. It gets a lot of things right, the atmosphere, the visuals, the sound design. It's very cinematographic too, and still looks decent. However, it can get very repetitive, and once the woah-that's-cool-factor wears off you will start getting tired of the very similar looking grey and brown environments. That's an issue with most Warhammer content though - bright colours tend to be this universe's kryptonite, but you could do better than this game too for sure. The final stretch is better in this respect, and it mixes things up with battle design too, but you need to get to it first. And, more importantly, the GoG version omits multiplayer, which was good fun back in the day. If you intend to play online go with the Steam version. The biggest draw of this game is basically to experience Warhammer 40k Dawn of War games from the point of view of a Space Marine. And the game does do that - at its best it really makes you feel like a right badass, but it can also really drag on at its worst. There are also some minor technical hitches that don't seem to have been fixed. Nothing game-breaking, but you might get stuck on scenery or experience an odd audio stutter. Some other issues, like crashing, can be fixed by turning on V-Sync. The game is also relatively short - you would probably get through the campaign in about 4-5 hours if you know what you're doing. Given all this it definitely is NOT worth the non-sale price for most. Even at -75% it is a bit of a tough sell for non-Warhammer fans, but you can definitely do a fair bit worse.

Wait for a sale

So, the base game here is not BAD, assuming you don't run in to technical problems. It's a bit simplistic, but looks good and plays fine. It's a straightforward third person shooter, no cover mechanics or level up system or crafting or anything like that, just run forward and shoot. Good, simple fun. The problem is that this isn't the only version of Space Marine out there. The Steam version also exists, and has multiplayer, which was actually pretty well done in Space Marine, with different classes and game modes including versus and co-op and a bunch of character customization, all of which is not in this version at all. Now, if you've GONE to the Steam page, you might say "Hang on, that version costs twice as much as this one, so maybe that's why there's a difference in content." Except that the Steam version USED to cost the same as this version currently does, they just doubled the price a year ago. You could maybe argue that the price increase on Steam was just to roll all the DLC in to the base cost of the game, but the Gog version doesn't include the DLC either (since it's tied to the multiplayer modes). So, SEGA doubled the price of the full game and released this slashed down version at the same price the full version used to be. So, I can't really jump up and say "Yes, you should definitely buy this." If you can get this on steep discount, it's probably worth it. At launch, it's 75% off, and I'd say I got my money's worth out of it for that price. It's a fun game, a bit short and simple but still worth a run through. At full price, I'd say wait. If you're looking for multiplayer, look elsewhere.

It is running on Win10

I cannot speak for all PCs with Win10 but the game is running for me. My Win version is 21H1(OS build 19043.1826) with Intel processor and GeForce video card. If it is not running on your particular system you can refund it. After all this is the purpose of the the refund policy.

Best warhammer 40k experience ever

This game screams ultimate power. I love it, and even though I've played nearly all warhammer games available at time of writing. This one have a special place in my heart. This game really makes you feel how awesomely powerful the space marines really are. Very much looking forward to Space Marine 2. Regarding 0xc00007b error etc.. The game works perfectly fine on my machine, but I'm not in the habit of installing dlls manually (and making a mess of my own computer) either. But 0xc00007b errors are usually because the .NET 3.5 is borked. Unistall it (if possible) , clean it (look online), and reinstall NET framework 3.5. (possibly the relevant VC redist too) because some other programs on your computer is likely having issues as well. Anyway, it should solve the issue. Because there is really nothing wrong with the game in that regard.
