Good game
Has a lot of options (if you pay for the dlc races you want) and overall fun.

Absolute Rubbish
This is no different from games like this that were made better years ago. It's boring. The UI is very unresponsive or somehow it demands more power than my computer, which is newer than this game and easily above spec, can produce. That's even without it being a cash grab, even on sale.

Played for an hour, then got a refund
I love 40k, I've played tabletop and all the games. I've also played every Civ games, even the spin-offs. Whilst, in principle, this is a civ style game, it just doesn't have the depth of play I was hoping for. It looks like something you could dive into, but you realise too late it's just the shallow end of the pool. It probably needs another month in Q&A or perhaps go into EA at a lower price as there are still plenty of bugs and missing tooltips. For example, I had my marines mind-controlled just as I started researching it, and suddenly they acquired the grenades and threw them at my other unit. I used the dev tool to release them from mind-control and they retained the grenades! I really wanted to like this, but in the end, the bugs and lack of depth forced me to get a refund.
